Snetterton - Less than a second off the race leader!

What a great weekend's racing! Thanks and well done to everyone. It all started on Friday night when I realised I had forgotten by suitcase... oops... thought it was just the car that needed spare boots - so a trip to Tesco 24hour sorted me out with essentials! Then Saturday found out my lack of pie eating meant I had to find a staggering 27kg and ended up racing with a full tank of fuel (think I've done that b4  )... and a spare wheel ratchet strapped to the spare wheel gap.. hmm 27kg all over the rear axle...nice! Then to top it all off the brand spankers discs from Euros had misaligned holes which meant the whole car and steering wheel vibrated and juddered around like a washing machine running with retainer bolts still in - not scary at all! This combined with my 10 second penalty and Bravo's car being as wide as the track (damn you Bravo   ) meant I had a miserable race (we won't mention the blue flag and Stryin ramming me up the bum)...

Sunday saw new ballast, better placed, thanks to a local gym and a spare disc courtesy of Steve - thank you - and another one from Alistair - thank you to you too for saving me from the awful juddering. The view of the back of Bravo's car for the green flag lap made all the bad memories of race 1 come flooding back to me - no way was I gonna be stuck behind that for another 20 minutes. So turn 1 I made my move!! The very first race of all season where the car was behaving AND the weather was dry (I'm scared of water) and I had the best race I could have had and am very happy with the result!

My lap times were 6th 10th of a second off the race leader! Delighted to achieve pace like this in my first season :-)

Roll on Rockingham...
